6. Processing of personal data when using Google Analytics
Our website uses the analysis tool Google Analytics of the American Google Inc. (hereafter: Google) for optimisation and need-based design purposes of our website offers.

Under the data processing agreement we concluded with Google, Google uses the collected information to assess use of and activities on our website.

For this, so-called tracking cookies will be saved on your device. The information generated by these cookies on your use of our website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the US where it is saved. The transmitted information is used to assess the use of our website and to perform other services for marketing and need-based design purposes of our website on our behalf.

Google also uses this information to compile reports about activities on our online offer and to provide services related to the use of our online offer and the Internet for us. We also use Google Analytics to only display the advertisements by advertising services of Google and its partners to users who have shown an interest in our online offer or who display certain characteristics (e.g. interest in certain products and services based on the websites visited by the user) which we will transmit to Google (so-called Google Audiences). The Google Audiences application integrated on our website helps us ensure that our advertisements are potentially of interest to users of our website and are not bothersome.

On this website, Google Analytics was extended by an anonymisation code to ensure that IP addresses are only collected anonymously and to exclude direct personal references (so-called IP masking).

Your IP address will be transmitted by Google to a Member State of the European Union or to another state party to the European Economic Area Agreement in shortened form (IP masking) and will only be transmitted to and saved in the US in anonymised form. Only in exceptions will your full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the US and shortened there.

The data collected on you is not used to identify you personally and will not be combined with other personal data saved on you.

The followings options are available for preventing analyses by Google Analytics:

You can prevent the collection of cookie-generated data (including your IP address) on your use of the website and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin provided under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

When installing this browser plugin, web analysis will remain disabled until the browser plugin is deactivated or deleted. This browser plugin must be downloaded and installed separately for each device. If you do not want web analyses to be performed on your other devices or browsers, you must add this browser plugin to all browsers and devices you use to access our website.

In addition, we integrated Google Analytics on our website in a manner that allows you to prevent the processing of your user data on your device through a so-called opt-out cookie of Google Analytics. Activating the following button will install an opt-out cookie that prevents analyses by Google on your device: OPT OUT BUTTON HERE with underlying programming. To prevent analyses for other devices, this opt-out cookie must be activated for each device.

For the purposes and scope of data processing, collection and use by Google Analytics, please see Google’s Privacy Policy and additional information about privacy and security: https://policies.google.com/ and Google Analytics’ Terms of Service:

https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/gb.html
https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB
https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework

The data processed by Google Analytics will be deleted automatically after 14 months. You are not required contractually or by law to provide personal data to Google. However, without this data processing, analyses and assessments of the use of our website cannot be performed and our offered services cannot be optimised. Data processing represents our legitimate interest in the processing of personal data under Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation.

7. Processing of personal data when using Google re/marketing services
Our website uses the Google re/marketing services Google Audiences and DoubleClick of the American Google Inc. (hereafter: Google) for need-based design and optimisation purposes of our website offers.

Google re/marketing services enable us to display more targeted advertisements on our website to present offers and advertisements to you that may interest you when you visit our website. If advertisements for e.g. certain products in which you have shown an interest on other websites are displayed to you on our website, this is called “remarketing”. When opening our or another website that activated Google marketing services, Google will directly execute a code and so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or cookies, also known as “web beacons”) will be activated on our website. These will save an individual cookie on your device (comparable technologies may also be used instead of cookies). These cookies may be installed by various domains, e.g. google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com or googleadservices.com. These cookies will record which websites you visit, which content you are interested in and which offers you click on, as well as technical information on your browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting times and other information about your use of the online offer. Your IP address will also be collected, but it will be shortened by Google within a Member State of the European Union or in another state party to the European Economic Area Agreement and your full IP address will only be transferred to a Google server in the US and shortened there in exceptions when using Google Analytics.

Your IP address will not be combined with data from other Google offers. Google may link the above-stated information to information from other sources. If you subsequently visit other websites, advertisements based on your interests may be displayed.

Your data is processed pseudonymously by Google marketing services. This means that Google does not save or process your name or email address, but will process the data related to the cookie through pseudonymous user profiles. From Google’s perspective, these advertisements are not managed and displayed for specifically identified persons but for the cookie holder irrespective of who the cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user expressly consents to have Google process this data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected on the user by Google marketing services will be transmitted to Google and saved on Google’s servers in the US.

We use the Google marketing service “DoubleClick” to display third-party advertisements. DoubleClick uses cookies that enable Google and its partner websites to display advertisements based on visits of by users of our website or of other websites.

For more information about Google’s use of data for marketing purposes, please see: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads. For Google’s Privacy Policy, please see: https://policies.google.com/.

If you would like to object to interest-based advertising by Google marketing services, you may use the settings and opt-out options provided by Google: http://www.google.com/ads/preferences.

For the purposes and scope of data processing, collection and use by Google re/marketing services, please see Google’s Privacy Policy https://policies.google.com/ and
https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB
https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework

You are not required contractually or by law to provide personal data to Google. However, without this data processing, analyses and assessments of the use of our website cannot be performed and our offered services cannot be optimised. Data processing represents our legitimate interest in the processing of personal data under Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation.
